CASTLE ROCK - They work together, shop together and save together. Pam Anderson and her daughter, Theresa Buckley, are not only building a strong relationship with each other, they are building a network of small women-owned businesses through their group Douglas County Divas.

Douglas County Divas is having their first ever Fashion show with Bling! clothing and the Shoe Shoppe at the outdoor Siena Courtyard. Show starts at 7 with the NEWEST FALL FASHIONS!
*The National Mill Dog Rescue will provide "canine models" for the fashion show to help raise awareness and hopefully to locate some FOREVER homes for dogs in need.
If you are interested in adopting a dog please start by filling out the application on... their web site
Each model will be walking with a dog from the National Mill Dog Rescue and will be up for adoption that evening at the event. (look for the NMDR booth to sign up for your home routine check before adopting)
**Panache Salon and Boutique will be doing the Hair styles for the fashion show event and available for consultations and questions.
CopperFalls will be doing the Make-up.
***Firefighters will be on-site selling and signing 2011 calendars. Fired Up For Kids is a Denver-based nonprofit organization that creates and produces the Colorado Firefighter Calendar. Firefighters from all over the state of Colorado donate many hours of their time each year to help Fired Up For Kids fundraise and raise awareness for The Children's Hospital Burn Center.
-Calendars are $15.00 cash or check.
All proceeds benefit The Children's Hospital Burn Center

June Event - La Sandia

Our March Networking event at La Sandia was so succesfull and well received that we decided to go back there in June. The weather was wonderful and our signature drink "Kiwi Diva" was simply delicious.



Again, fun time was had by all...ask this lady!




Besides the regular networking and mingling we had some special guests:
Mark Mcintosh, the comeback coach, attended the event for his "Lemons to Margaritas" book signing.
Julie with JuliaTravels donated a FREE Cancun Vacation as one of the door prizes!
Give Back Green Local was there, taking donations for
the Avon Walk forBreast Cancer supporting team Motorin' Mammaries walking June 26th 2010 weekend.
Also Will from Z Club was there and generously donated membership cards for our Divas "6 months for FREE"!!
And of course, thank you for everybody who generously donated door prizes.

May Event - Great night of Networking, Beauty and Pampering

Our May event was held at Millard Plastic Surgery Center at Renewal Medical Center in Lone Tree.

The venue was beautiful and Dr. Millard, his lovely wife Paula and their staff did a fabulous job putting together this event.
All the wonderful appetizers and drinks were complimentary for our guests,provided by Dr. Millard.



Besides the mix and mingle, our divas had a chance to sample the services of the center. Several products and treatments and demos were available for testing, and Mr. Jim, managing the massage chair, was definitely a special treat!

April Event – Chrysalis & Bar Louie

This month’s event was at the newly renovated Streets of Southglenn shopping area located on Arapahoe and University.
The evening started out with a Pre-party at the Chrysalis eco-chic boutique at 6 pm. Chrysalis is on Westwords Best of List for 2010 as Best Green Boutique, and for a reason. The clothes and accessories were gorgeous. I highly recommend you to visit this store.


Around 7 pm we moved over to Bar Louie, a trendy new bar, across the street to continue the party until 9pm. The Drink of the evening was appropriately named “The Diva”. It was a mix of pineapple infused vodka and pomegranate liquor and it was delicious!
Like every month we had a room full of fabulous and beautiful women. Some where old friends, some were brand new faces. New friendships and business connections were made.
I think the secret of our events success is, that they are not strictly structured with timed elevator speeches and featured speakers, but very informal and fun, pressure free events.
And of course there were giveaways. Ladies got to go home with Comedy Works tickets, Bar Louie gift cards, jewellery, shirts, Diva aprons, purses and other great goodies!!

March Event at La Sandia

What can I say…… another wonderful networking event! La Sandia turned out to be a great venue; the rooftop tequila lounge ,reserved exclusively for the use of our lovely Divas, was beautiful and very spacious with plenty of comfortable seating, and because of the "Weather Fairy" was being generous to us, we were able to utilize the fantastic patio area and enjoy the magnificent front range sunset!
Bart DeLorenzo, the manager of la Sandia, and his staff also did a great job. Their attention to every little detail was outstanding.
